SUKNIA ŚLUBNA KONTRA PIES – BAJKA Z HAPPY ENDEM [ ENG BELOW ]
Wyobraźcie sobie taką historię: przyszła Panna Młoda chce w dniu ślubu wyglądać jak księżniczka z bajki, czy dokładnie tak, jak to sobie wymyśliła, kiedy była małą dziewczynką. Dopieszcza więc projekty dekoracji, decyduje się na kwiaty w swoim ulubionym kolorze. Razem z Panem Młodym wybiera też piosenkę na pierwszy wspólny małżeński taniec. Ale przede wszystkim szuka perfekcyjnej sukni ślubnej. Zagląda do salonów, przeczesuje internet, śledzi nowości pojawiające się w katalogach. W końcu jest: trafia na ideał w jednym z butików w sercu Nowego Jorku. Kreacja, która w najmniejszym detalu odpowiada marzeniom i którą koniecznie trzeba wysłać do Polski. Przecież to bezpieczniejsze, niż latać przez pół świata z suknią ślubną w walizce. Panna Młoda pakuje więc też swój skarb, zostawia paczkę dla kuriera i idzie do pracy. Po powrocie okazuje się, że paczkę, wraz z kartonem i folią, pogryzł… jej ukochany pies. Jest więc dramat, łzy i bezradność. W końcu jednak następuje zwrot akcji, suknię udaje się uratować u utalentowanej krawcowej. A Panna Młoda może stanąć na ślubnym kobiercu, wyglądając jak milion dolarów.
Myślicie, że przygody zakończone happy endem zdarzają się wyłącznie w filmach z Jennifer Lopez w roli głównej? Mogę Wam przysiąc, że takie scenariusze pisze samo życie. A streszczoną przeze mnie historię przeżyła Natalia, która niedawno wyszła za Yonathana. Z ich ślubem wiąże się zresztą wiele więcej innych porywających ciekawostek, zupełnie jak z hollywoodzkiej komedii romantycznej. Natalia przez 12 lat mieszkała i pracowała w Londynie. Yonathana, z pochodzenia Dominikańczyka, poznała… na wakacjach na Ibizie. Od tamtej pory są nierozłączni i zakochani w sobie po uszy.
Ślub i wesele
Ślub cywilny wzięli w USA, gdzie urodził się Pan Młody, z kolei kościelny planowali wziąć w Polsce – tak, żeby obie rodziny były uszczęśliwione. Ale już na tym etapie okazało się, że los potrafi płatać figle. Za każdym razem, kiedy Młoda Para wybierała się do Polski, żeby ustalić szczegóły zaślubin, nie mogła zastać księdza. W końcu Natalia i Yonathan postanowili wziąć ślub humanistyczny. Do Pałacu Jastrzębie w Drzycimiu zaprosili niespełna 70 osób, spośród których zaledwie 20 mówiło po polsku. Reszta zjechała się tu z całego świata: ze Stanów Zjednoczonych, z Dominikany, Anglii, Australii, Indii, Włoch, Francji. Prawdziwie eklektyczne i kosmopolityczne wesele! Były więc i cygara z Dominikany, i polskie piwo, i kuchnia, która trafiła w gusta każdego.
Państwo Młodzi powiedzieli sobie „tak” w altance na środku malowniczego stawu, w otoczeniu przyrody i bliskich im osób. Żeby oszczędzić czas (tuż po weselu wyjeżdżali z Polski), na sesję w plenerze umówiliśmy się na tydzień przed zaślubinami. Mogliśmy w spokoju znaleźć romantyczny pejzaż i nawet „wypożyczyć” do zdjęć konia, na którym kocha jeździć Natalia.
A propos pierwszego tańca, o którym wspomniałam wyżej – to nie była ani rumba, ani coraz bardziej popularny walc, a…bachata, tradycyjny taniec dominikański. Ognisty i pełen radości życia, nadał ton całemu weselu. Wszyscy goście, bez względu na trudności językowe i kierunki świata, z jakich pochodzili, bawili się świetnie. Do takiego stopnia, że nawet mnie Pan Młody nosił na rękach! Jak przystało na historię rodem z Hollywood, wszyscy będą żyli długo i szczęśliwie. Dokładnie tak, jak życzono w licznych toastach, wznoszonych według amerykańskiej tradycji.

WEDDING DRESS VERSUS DOG – FAIRY TALE WITH HAPPY ENDING
Imagine: a bride-to-be wants to either look like a fairy-tale-like princess on her wedding day, or just exactly as she thought of it when she was a little girl. She wants to take care of every detail such as decoration designs, decides to choose flowers in her favorite color, together with the groom she also chooses the song for the first dance. However, she is primarily looking for the perfect wedding dress. To do it, she visits the salons, browses the internet and new products in catalogs. In the end, there it is: she finds the perfect one in one of the boutiques in the heart of New York. It is a dress that meets her dreams, even in the smallest details, and which must be sent to Poland in comparison to the less safe solution which is flying through half the world with the dress in a suitcase. The bride packs the treasure, leaves the parcel to a delivery man and goes to work. Just after returning home it turns out that the package, along with the cardboard and foil, has been torn apart ‘thanks to’ her beloved dog! It leads to drama, tears and helplessness. In the end, however, there is a plot twist because, fortunately, it seems like the dress can be saved by a talented dressmaker, and the bride can stand on the wedding aisle runner, looking like a million dollars.
Do you really think that all happy-ending adventures occur only in the Jennifer Lopez movies? I can swear to you that LIFE writes such stories on a daily basis, and Natalia, who has recently married Yonathan, went through the story I have just introduced. Actually, their wedding is associated with even more thrilling curiosities that could be easily adapted into a screenplay of a Hollywood romantic comedy. Natalia lived and worked in London for 12 years. She met Yonathan, who is of Dominican origin, on… holiday in Ibiza. Since then, they have been inseparable and head over heels in love.
Wedding ceremony and Wedding reception
They got a civil marriage in the USA (the groom’s birthplace), and they planned to get married in Poland to make both families happy. Unfortunately, at that stage, it turned out that, every now and then, fate plays tricks. Each time, when the couple went to Poland to talk over the details of their marriage, they could not find a priest. In the end, Natalia and Yonathan decided to arrange a humanist wedding. They invited less than 70 people to the Jastrzębie Palace in Drzycim, of whom only 20 spoke Polish. The rest of the guests came here from all over the world: from the United States, the Dominican Republic, England, Australia, India, Italy, France. It was a truly eclectic and cosmopolitan wedding! There were cigars from the Dominican Republic, Polish beer, and cuisine that suited everyone’s tastes.
The Bride and Groom exchanged their vows in an alcove in the middle of a picturesque pond, surrounded by nature and people who are close to them. To save time (they were to leave Poland shortly after the wedding), we had arranged an open-air photo session a week before the wedding. We had been able to conveniently find a romantic landscape and even “rent” a horse which Natalia loves to ride.
Speaking of the first dance, which I mentioned above – it was neither the rumba, nor more and more popular – the waltz, but … the bachata, a traditional Dominican dance. The dance, fiery and full of joy of life, set the tone for the whole wedding. All the guests, regardless of their language difficulties and directions of the world they came from, had a great time to such an extent that even the groom was carrying me on his shoulders! As befits a Hollywood story, everyone will live happily ever after and that’s exactly what it was wished for during many of the toasts addressed to the couple in accordance to the American tradition.
